One of the most popular forks of the original Bitcoin network is Bitcoin Cash. The idea for the cryptocurrency was inspired by unhappiness with the direction Bitcoin was taking, which was away from Satoshi Nakamoto’s original plan for it to function as a digital currency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The creation of Bitcoin Cash, which functions more like a currency than a store of value, ignited a fierce dispute between proponents of Bitcoin and others who felt that Bitcoin needed to be able to trade more quickly and cheaply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Around this time, a so-called civil war broke out, with supporters of Bitcoin Cash rejecting Bitcoin and declaring it to no longer be the real Bitcoin. Then, in August 2017, Bitcoin Cash was created as a result of a fork. It had a promising beginning but has experienced turmoil ever since.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Even though Bitcoin Cash is meant to be a more useful money, enthusiasts of cryptocurrencies frequently invest in it. The coin’s price has the typical market volatility, but many people believe its future will be brighter and will provide greater value in the following months and years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Although it is not the oldest, Bitcoin Cash is one of the biggest and best-known forks of the cryptocurrency. Just before Bitcoin achieved its previous all-time high of $20,000 at the end of 2017, Bitcoin Cash was developed. It expanded the size of the blocks in the chain to enable more transactions to be processed more quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It’s interesting to note that the cryptocurrency split into Bitcoin Cash ABC and Bitcoin Cash SV in November 2018. (Satoshi Vision). This shows a willingness to keep Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general progressing, however BCH’s forking was primarily motivated by bitcoin’s 1MB block size restriction. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because blocks could not accommodate the increase in size for transactions, transactions piled up and waited for confirmation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In response, Bitcoin Cash proposed making blocks between 8 MB and 32 MB in size, allowing for the processing of more transactions per block. In a Bitcoin block, there are typically between 1,000 and 1,500 transactions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
25,000 transactions per block were recorded on the Bitcoin Cash network during a stress test in September 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The guy behind this fork, Roger Ver, has been promoting the notion that Satoshi Nakamoto, who invented Bitcoin, was responsible for having a digital currency that could work under stress. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The change in Bitcoin’s block size, in the opinion of Ver and proponents of Bitcoin Cash, will make it possible for users to use Bitcoin as a medium for regular transactions and give it a chance to compete with large credit card processing companies like Visa that charge exorbitant fees to process international transactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the majority of its existence, Bitcoin Cash held onto the top 10 currencies by market cap, however it recently lost that position. The price of the currency does not even come close to that of Bitcoin; even at its peak, just a few days after Bitcoin surpassed $20,000, it only managed to reach $3,643.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Throughout its first year, Bitcoin Cash’s price fluctuated wildly, but after the end of 2018 and up until this point, the price has been less erratic but primarily trending lower. Within two months of starting its price history in August 2017 at $573, Bitcoin Cash has hit its all-time high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following that $3,000+ peak, the price of Bitcoin Cash fell to a low of $77 per BCH, and by the end of 2020 it had marginally rebounded to reach roughly $350.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Price also fell below a new Lower Low after a bearish Breakout from the Sideways Channel, evidencing a downtrend. Near the $100 support, it is oversold (RSI 30), suggesting a potential entry point for a swing trade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There is a declining tendency on all time scales, including short, medium, and long-term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
MACD Line is above the MACD Signal Line (Bullish), yet RSI is below 45, thus momentum is Mixed (Bearish). The MACD Histogram bars are dwindling, which could indicate a loss of momentum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In general Volume is flat, meaning that it fluctuates equally on up and down days. As a result, the balance between buyer and seller demand and supply is achieved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Support and Resistance: $100 is the closest Support Zone. $150 (prior support) is the closest resistance zone, followed by $200, $280, and $340.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
