The executive of the firm responsible for the development and maintenance of the AI chatbot ChatGPT has expressed his disappointment publicly in a podcast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=meu0CoYv3z8\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">speaking<\/a> at the Joe Rogan Podcast, Sam Altman expressed concerns regarding the US government\u2019s intentions to control the blockchain sector and cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin (BTC), the world\u2019s largest cryptocurrency. The executive said that he is very \u201cworried about how far the surveillance state could go here\u201d while referring to the government\u2019s control over money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m disappointed that the U.S. government has done recently, but the war on crypto, which I think is a, like, we can\u2019t give this up, we\u2019re going to control [bitcoin and crypto], makes me quite sad about the country,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, Sam Altman pointed out that he is &#8220;super against&#8221; central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) that are blockchain-based fiat counterparts. I think this idea that we have a global currency that is outside of the control of any government is a super logical and important step on the tech tree.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>It is important to mention here that Sam Altman\u2019s OpenAI is already working on a new project called Worldcoin, a controversial crypto project that seeks to generate a database of individuals by scanning their eyes while giving them a cryptocurrency called WLD in return.
