{"id":81729,"date":"2026-08-03T09:43:40","date_gmt":"2026-08-03T09:43:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bitcoinwisdom.com\/?p=81729"},"modified":"2026-08-03T09:43:40","modified_gmt":"2026-08-03T09:43:40","slug":"ripple-labs-head-calls-out-the-sec-for-ruining-crypto","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bitcoinwisdom.com\/pl\/ripple-labs-head-calls-out-the-sec-for-ruining-crypto\/","title":{"rendered":"Szef Ripple Labs wzywa SEC do zniszczenia kryptowalut"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The Chairman of Ripple Labs, Chris Larsen, called out the SEC for &#8220;screwing&#8221; the crypto industry in the US.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>He said that the SEC lost &#8220;everything that was important to [it] and important in the regulation of the industry.&#8221;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Larsen added that Grayscale&#8217;s win &#8220;really admonished the SEC [&#8230;] in a way that you don&#8217;t really see very often.&#8221;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>He also claimed that Joe Biden &#8220;pretty much killed&#8221; San Francisco from being the &#8220;blockchain capital of the world.&#8221;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p>The Chairman of Ripple Labs, a prominent fintech firm responsible for the development and creation of the XRP ecosystem, Chris Larsen, has called out the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Biden administration for &#8220;screwing&#8221; the crypto industry in the US. Interestingly, the country has some of the highest numbers of crypto holders, as per studies.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ripple Labs\u2019 Chair claimed that his firm will bring the crypto industry &#8220;back in the game&#8221; after the Biden administration &#8220;screwed up&#8221; its crypto policy. Interestingly, the SEC under the Biden administration has cracked down heavily on crypto trading platforms, crypto custodians, and other digital asset service providers.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;The US screwed up here on crypto and blockchain policy. This is the beginning now through the courts, unfortunately, instead of through regulators, to get that clarity and get us back in the game,&#8221; said the executive.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Interestingly, Larsen talked to <a href=\"http:\/\/bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2023-09-06\/san-francisco-lost-chance-to-be-blockchain-capital-ripple-s-larsen-says?utm_medium\" class=\"ek-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bloomberg<\/a> on September 7 regarding the <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinwisdom.com\/ripple-secures-victory-against-the-sec-in-court\/\" class=\"ek-link\">partial win<\/a> that Ripple secured over the SEC. The executive noted that the regulator lost on &#8220;everything that was important to [it] and important in the regulation of the industry.&#8221; Additionally, the fintech firm\u2019s token XRP was deemed not a security when sold to retail investors by Judge Analisa Torres in the lawsuit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, Larsen also mentioned the win that digital asset management firm Grayscale secured against the SEC in a lawsuit. Grayscale\u2019s request to turn its flagship product, Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC), into a Bitcoin (BTC) spot ETF was turned down by the SEC, and as a result, the firm filed a lawsuit against the regulator. The Ripple Labs\u2019 Chair noted that the asset management firm\u2019s &#8220;really admonished the SEC [&#8230;] in a way that you don&#8217;t really see very often.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I sincerely hope we\u2019re seeing the beginning of the end of the SEC\u2019s policy of regulation by enforcement.
