  • These services will be facilitated through the crypto point-of-sale provider, WhitePay, which will print a QR code attached to a receipt of the transaction.

Two of the biggest retails in Ukraine have decided to accept Bitcoin (BTC), the leading cryptocurrency in the cryptocurrency industry, for payments across more than 100 stores owned by them together in the second-largest European country. These tech firms are Techno Їzhak, and Stylus which plan to accept the world’s biggest cryptocurrency online and in-store as demand for bitcoin as a regular currency grows amid war efforts.

Moreover, it is also crucial to note that customers can purchase products using Bitcoin from their online stores, or from their combined 100+ retail locations as per a report from the Ukrainian outlet Obozrevatel. Interestingly, these services will be facilitated through the crypto point-of-sale provider, WhitePay.

Also, the option for customers to pay using cryptocurrency through an acquiring form is also available at the online and in-person stores. Moreover, the point of sale system of WhitePay’s will also print a QR code attached to a receipt of the transaction.

“Ukraine is not the first year in the lead in terms of the number of cryptocurrency owners in the world and the volume of transactions,” he explained. “We provide buyers with more options for using their cryptocurrency assets,”

Whitepay CEO Gleb Udovichenko said.

This receipt of the transaction includes transaction type, network, commissions paid, exchange rate, and time span of the transaction as well. Meanwhile, WhitePay falls under WhiteBIT’s ecosystem, which is the largest cryptocurrency exchange in Europe.

Additionally, via WhiteBIT, both the companies will accept around 130 cryptocurrencies from all the customers in the near future.

The crypto adoption in Ukraine has been on a rise since the war with Russia began. Meanwhile, with the war’s initiation, the price of Bitcoin (BTC) has also been on a steady decline. It is also important to note that the price action of respective cryptocurrencies also followed BTC’s price drop.

Recently, the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Digital Transformation, MyKhailo Federov, revealed that the government spent the $54 million raised by the initiative AidForUkraine through the crypto community on military equipment, armor clothes, medicines, and even vehicles.

On the contrary, Russia also reportedly received more than 2 million donations in cryptocurrencies as its war against Ukraine continues to terrorize the world.
