ANC Pharmacy will allow its customers to pay for medical supplies using cryptocurrencies with the help of Binance Pay.

Binance Increases Presence in Ukraine via ANC Pharmacy Partnership Deal

  • Binance has partnered with ANC Pharmacy, one of the largest pharmacy chains in Ukraine.
  • ANC Pharmacy will allow its customers to pay for medical supplies using cryptocurrencies with the help of Binance Pay.
  • Customers can pay using Pay feature via the official website and then, pick up their medicines at the nearest store.
  • The exchange also recently partnered with Ukraine’s supermarket chain, VARUS.

The world’s largest crypto exchange by trading volume, Binance, continues to increase its presence on a global scale following the bankruptcy of its closest rival, FTX, in the month of November. Under the leadership of founder and CEO Changpeng Zhao, also known as CZ in the crypto industry, the exchange has hit new milestones in 2022, and it seems that 2023 will also be dominated by the exchange.

According to an announcement from ANC Pharmacy, one of the largest pharmacy chains in Ukraine, it has partnered with Binance and will allow its customers to pay for medical supplies using cryptocurrencies in a fairly easy way. Interestingly, the world’s largest exchange has helped out Ukraine several times in the past few months, and this is the latest venture of the exchange in the region.

Binance has increased its presence in Ukraine following the outbreak of its conflict with Russia last year. On the other hand, the European country has also become increasingly positive towards blockchain and digital assets and it is clear that the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has played a major role in the adoption of cryptocurrencies in the country.

It is crucial to note that following the launch of a “special military operation” by Russia into Ukraine, Binance had donated the European nation close to $10 million so that it would be easier for the nation to deal with the damage caused by Russia. A crypto card was also introduced by the exchange for refugees who have been adversely affected by the war.

ANC Pharmacy confirmed that its customers can now easily use crypto coins to purchase medical items instead of fiat. However, to do so, the order must be placed via the pharmacy chain’s website, where customers can pay using cryptocurrencies. Moreover, users can download the Binance application, choose the product they want to purchase, and settle the transaction using Pay, an initiative of the world’s leading crypto exchange.

Binance Pay allows users to almost instantly settle transactions without any issues. After they have ordered and sent their crypto coins via the website, users can go to the nearest ANC store to pick up their medicines.

“First of all, the Binance Pay technology becomes available in pharmacies in Kyiv. We take care of your health while you take care of your cryptocurrency,” the firm announced.

Binance was one of the first exchanges to help out Ukraine in times of war, and the exchange even established a donation web portal called the Ukraine Emergency Relief Fund. The fund has collected 2,936 BTC, which is close to $50 million.

Interestingly, the exchange also partnered with Ukraine’s supermarket chain, VARUS, and the latter will accept digital assets for purchasing groceries via the contactless, borderless, and secure cryptocurrency payment technology Binance Pay. The supermarket has over 111 stores across 28 cities in Ukraine and will allow customers to transfer cryptocurrencies and deliver the goods to them instantly across nine cities.
