Chad Ochocinco Johnson

Chad Ochocinco Johnson, for many football fans, remains a household name. As a long-time wide receiver in the NFL, Johnson rose to fame, though that fame petered out around 2012. Since then, Ochocinco ventured into reality television and other mediums. In 2014, his interests included Bitcoin and cryptocurrency investments. On Twitter, he would leverage his followers to gain knowledge about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency as a whole.

Some of his fans even went so far as to send him Bitcoin. Not a full coin, mind you, but a fraction of one. In total, Ochocinco received roughly 0.001 BTC, which, at the time, was worth about $.50 cents total.

Later, in 2021, Ochocinco, when asked about crypto investments, replied to one user saying, “I scam and sell dope, not into crypto.” It appears the thrill of Bitcoin was short-lived for the former football star.
