One of the biggest names in the rap and hip-hop industry, Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., also known as Snoop Dogg, has been revealed as one of the co-founders of a Web3-powered live streaming app called “Shiller.” This adds to the numerous NFT and crypto ventures of the artist and music producer.
Shiller is a “live broadcast platform” that aims to combine Web3 technology with real-time live-streaming content, and Snoop Dogg has been named as one of the co-founders. The other co-founder is technology entrepreneur Sam Jones, and the two aim to “revolutionize the content creation industry by providing artists, NFT projects, brands, and influencers with a suite of innovative features and tools, as well as the possibility to monetize content.”
It is crucial to note that the platform will include interactive video and audio streaming, chats, games, and will also provide its users with other ways to interact with the community. The creators on the platform will have the option to token-gate their video and audio content and also share their products on other websites.
Snoop Dogg’s new platform will allow creators to promote their non-fungible token collections. The support of NFTs is one of the major concerns of the platform since the reference to NFTs is already in its name—”Shiller”—the native Web3 slang for a “person who promotes NFT collections or tokens.”

Furthermore, the Shiller will also allow creators to develop their tokens and digital passes and will have a marketplace integrated into it, allowing people to purchase and trade their favorite artists’ NFTs.
This new Web3 venture from Snoop Dogg follows a number of NFT and metaverse businesses that the hip-hop artist invested in between 2021-2022 and continues to do so. Recently, a cryptocurrency casino called Roobet announced on March 1st that it will partner with Snoop Dogg to “reinvent” the online entertainment industry and “shake up the industry and bring players a one-of-a-kind gaming experience.”
The hip-hop legend will join the casino as its Chief Ganjaroo Officer and help Roobet achieve its expansion goals. The partnership will bring together “Snoop’s vast global reach and industry expertise.”
