Tether to Debut New Bitcoin Mining Software for More Efficient Operations

  • Tether has debuted new mining software for mining machines, including WhatsMiner, AvalonMiner, and Antminer.
  • The Bitcoin mining software seeks to enhance the efficiency of Bitcoin mining operations, as per CTO Paolo Ardoino.
  • The software has been described as “really high quality stuff, super modular, highly polished” by Ardoino.
  • Certain parts of the mining software might be made available on open-source platforms in the future.

The issuer of USDT, the largest stablecoin by market capitalization, Tether, has announced a new mining software that seeks to enhance the efficiency of mining operations in the crypto sector. The innovative JavaScript libraries created by the stablecoin issuer will be capable of transmitting commands and signals to Bitcoin mining rigs, including WhatsMiner, AvalonMiner, and Antminer.

As per the announcement shared by Tether Chief Technology Officer Paolo Ardoino on social media platform X, previously known as Twitter, the developers have “almost finished to create well polished javascript” and soon, these will be rolled out for businesses in the crypto sector. The executive described the new initiative as “really high quality stuff, super modular, highly polished.”

Interestingly, the Tether CTO also confirmed that certain parts of the mining software might be made available on open-source platforms in the future. However, an exact time frame was not provided to the 200,000 followers of the executive. However, the primary concern of the Bitcoin mining software is to facilitate the efficient management of mining capacity, leading to more effective operations.

Ardoino also highlighted his efforts and role in being a core contributor to Moria, an orchestration instrument for mining farms, adding that all recent advancements are built using Holepunch, a technology platform for creating apps that don’t use any servers whatsoever.

Interestingly, in July, the Tether CTO highlighted the important features of Moria and the benefits of using Holepunch. He added, “Each device / miner will be identified by a pub/priv key and can stream data (hypercores) / receive commands (via hyperswarms) in an encrypted and secure way.”

As reported earlier by BitcoinWisdom last year. Tether stated that it intends to perform an audit soon while responding to concerns about the transparency of the firm’s USD reserves. The firm has been under regulatory scrutiny due to its lack of transparency.
