Popular crypto detective ZachXBT, who is known for exposing multiple scammers in the crypto and NFT industries, has landed in a lot of trouble after the victim of one of his exposés, Jeffrey Huang, known as “MachiBigBrother” on Twitter, accused the detective of damaging his reputation by publishing an article about him and his alleged scams.

In a series of posts on social media platform Twitter, ZachXBT revealed that he has been sued by Huang, adding that he knew that this day would come soon. According to the detective, this is “baseless and an attempt to chill free speech,” and he said that he aims to “defend free speech.”

On the other hand, MachiBigBrother also publicly announced his lawsuit, stating that the Medium article that was published by ZachXBT over a year ago damaged his reputation. The documentation has been submitted to the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas. Huang said that he aims to prove that the allegations presented by the detective are false, along with the fact that he was defamed unlawfully by the defendant.

“This is a classic David & Goliath story. My understanding is that Machi is very wealthy. I am not. He is using his money to try silence me. I’m asking for your help so this doesn’t happen & the truth survives,” the blockchain detective noted.

ZachXBT asked for his followers to support him via a donation address: ETH: 0x6eA158145907a1fAc74016087611913A96d96624. All the money left from the donation after the lawsuit would be sent to the donors on a prorata basis, the detective confirmed. The detective said that it was “sickening to see it come to this,” but he knew “the price of telling the truth.”

“I have always kept my research as objective as possible and let the data and historical record speak for themselves,” added the detective.

The article published by ZachXBT on June 16, 2022, about Huang claimed that MachiBigBrother embezzled over 22,000 Ether (ETH) tokens and rug pulled tens of crypto pump and dump schemes. To support the detective, many members of the crypto space have already started donating.

As reported earlier by BitcoinWisdom, last year ZachXBT revealed that the Miss Universe NFT collection, which was affiliated with the official Miss Universe pageant, was rug pulled for a total of $378,000, and over 802 investors were affected.
