A megastar in the world of soccer and a four-time winner of the European Golden Boot has unveiled his plans to release non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in the near future during a lie detector test conducted by the world’s largest crypto exchange, Binance. Interestingly, the athlete and the leading crypto exchange have partnered previously on a few occasions.

As per the lie detector test published on the official Binance YouTube channel, Ronaldo was asked multiple questions regarding his career and upcoming matches as well. This video was posted around the time when the soccer star released his second NFT collection to celebrate his reign as the highest goal scorer in the sport in a partnership with the world’s largest crypto exchange headed by Changpeng Zhao, also known as CZ in the crypto sector.

Interestingly, Ronaldo teased his future plans regarding the release of NFT collections; it is clear that the athlete’s NFT ventures are far from over. Multiple football clubs and athletes have released NFT collections or expressed interest in them, as the digital art provides a special way for the athletes to bond with their fans.

During the lie detector test, Ronaldo was seen answering soccer-related yes-or-no questions like “Will Portugal win the World Cup?” and “Will you still be playing at your highest level in your 40s?” Moreover, when asked if he owned NFTs, he replied “yes,” while the lie detector machine confirmed that the athlete’s answer was correct.

Ronaldo first announced his partnership with Binance in 2022, when the two entered into a multi-year agreement. The collaboration focuses on bringing soccer fans closer to Web3 space and generating a special bond with their favorite athletes using NFTs.

As reported earlier by BitcoinWisdom, Binance CEO Zhao predicted that decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms will surpass CEXes in trade volume during the next bull run. Most DeFi protocols are amassing billions in TVL, showing increased participation in recent history as well.
